This may not be the case any longer however, as the resemblence that the Exosuits hold to the Power Ranger battle armor is rather uncanny, causing the developer to reconsider its design choices. In Square Enix’s latest livestream, the company announced that the similarities were pointed out by the Power Ranger publisher, and that the Final Fantasy 15 DLC would now be coming at a later date.

According to a translation provided by Kotaku, Square Enix marketing manager Akio Ofuji informed fans that Square Enix would be looking to redesign the Magitek Exosuits and will be releasing them once the new look is complete.

For now, the DLC is still coming, but will likely look rather different from its original design. The Magitek Exosuits will not only change the appearance of the Final Fantasy team, they’ll also make the gang invincible for thirty minutes before needing to recharge for twenty-four hours. Alongside this, the suits will also apparently provide players with improved fishing abilities.

In other Final Fantasy 15 news, the Magitek Exosuit update isn’t the only new feature coming to the popular open-world RPG in the near future. Square Enix has revealed that next month tweaks to the divisive thirteenth chapter of the game will be coming, helping the somewhat isolated feeling of the section feel less jarring when compared to the rest of the title.

Those gamers who don’t own a console may also be in for a pleasant surprise soon, as Hajime Tabata himself has recently stated that he would be in favor of a port coming to PC. The director even hinted that he’d like mod support to play a part in the experience, something that is sure to make the more creative of PC gamers very happy.

Final Fantasy 15 is out now on PS4 and Xbox One. The Magitek Exosuit DLC release will be coming at a yet unspecified date.
