The Excitatron 6000 dungeon that rewards players with Resplendent Feathers comes from a very specific treasure map, so players will need to collect those in order to get this mount. Final Fantasy 14 players are likely familiar with the treasure map mechanics, but it can be a little confusing knowing how to get specific kinds of treasure maps.

How to Get Resplendent Feather

In order to enter the Excitatron 6000 dungeon and earn Resplendent Feathers, players must open treasure coffers found via a Timeworn Kumbhiraskin Map. There are a few ways to get this high level treasure map. As with all treasure maps, players can earn the Kumbhiraskin Treasure Map simply by gathering. Interact with level 90 Endwalker gathering nodes or fishing holes and players will have a chance to earn the treasure map. Alternatively, earning nine seals in Wondrous Tails for Khloe Aliapoh is a guaranteed way for players to earn one Kumbhiraskin Map once per week. Finally, the maps can be purchased from other players on the Market Board, but this may cost a lot of gil.

With the map in hand, decipher it and follow the instructions to find the buried treasure. Dig it up and open it and players will have a small chance to spawn a portal to the Excitatron 6000 dungeon. Completing the treasure map and dungeon in Final Fantasy 14 can be difficult alone, so now it’s time to get together a group of three or more friends and tackle this dungeon. Inside, players will have a chance to earn Resplendent Feathers as a reward.

If that seems like a lot of work just for one mount, the good news is that the Excitatron 6000 dungeon also has many other great rewards. Aside from the Resplendent Feathers, players can also receive things like the new Royal Lunatender minion, the Archangel Wings, and various other cosmetic rewards. Even so, depending on how lucky the player is, they may have to decipher a number of Timeworn Kumbhiraskin Treasure Maps before they get enough Resplendent Feathers.

Final Fantasy 14 is available now on PC, PS4, and PS5.
